My desire is to bring artistry and words together. Hoping their essence dances on the pages - in harmony and beauty.
Art dances on the canvas with its stick leg brushes; serenaded by the palette of color and endless possibilities.
In the garden You speak to me. My soul responds, "Let the words flow like bubbling brooks and rivers free. Teach me and I will dance as the butterflies, laugh like the breeze - unconfined and unburdened by meaningless strife." Invited, I let go and melt into this artist's creative life.
Ink & Paint
I am wife, mom, friend, writer, artist, mentor, and follower of God. I enjoy reading, movies, walks at the beach, and doing all things fun and spontaneous. I am also pretty contemplative, and enjoy quiet times where I can invest in growing personally and spiritually.
I've spent the past two decades raising a family with my husband, Peter. Ten years of it was living in the Caribbean, where I had the unique opportunity to experience life in a different culture. It gave me a deep appreciation for other people and for God's beautiful world. I enjoyed helping adults and children learn to read, foster parenting, enjoying a mini-farm of sheep, dos, and cats, and serving in the communities and our local church.
Upon returning to San Diego, I knew it was time to pursue my passion for writing and painting. I took classes that helped me hone my craft and grow artistically. I continued in ministry as a mentor and women's ministry leader/teacher, while finishing my Biblical Studies program, which was completed at Liberty University.
Today, my healthy love for myself, God, and the people around me inspires the pieces I create from ink and paint. He invites me - moment by moment - to be a part, whether I'm teaching a class, writing a book, painting, mentoring, or hanging out with family and friends.
I am currently working on my next book, creating new art pieces, and designing a journal to compliment my new book, Heavenly Ink.
